Whatever your reason for wanting to learn to swim, be it social, medical, exercise or simply a determination to ‘beat the fear’ SWIMMERS has a course for you.
There are many swim programs set up for children and adults from pre-schoolers through to competitive clubs swimmers, with most of the stages in between well covered. However, when it comes to adult non-swimmers, they are usually offered either ‘beginner’ or ‘improver’ programs through local recreational pools or residential swim schools. Whilst this is a suitable form of instruction for many of those adults who have a deep routed fear of water, or water phobia, many more are not adequately catered for.
SWIMMERS meets the specific needs of those individuals who want, or need, a high level of personal tuition in a completely private and reassuring environment.
With more than 25 years experience of teaching swimming Jane Roberts has developed her own unique program designed to help even the most fearful achieve their ambition and learn to swim. SWIMMERS believes that all adults who want to learn to swim, and conquer their fear of the water, will do so using the patient, sympathetic and understanding methods used in the SWIMMERS programs.
At the heart of the SWIMMERS program is the concept of individual attention. SWIMMERS teaches either on a direct 1-2-1 basis, or 2 person ‘Couple’ courses, so that the instructor - who is in the water with the pupils to provide demonstration and support up close, where it matters - can focus on the individual needs of the pupil.
Lessons take place only in our own, or the clients, private pool to increase the comfort of the pupil and to minimize distraction and eliminate embarrassment completely.

Weekly Program:
6 x 50 minute lessons once a week for 6 weeks.
Semi Intensive Program
Three visits to the pool. On each visit you have 2 x 50 minute lessons and some time for discussion on your progress with personal instructor.
Intensive Program
These programs consist of two visits to the pool. On each visit you will have 3 x 50 minute lessons, with time for rest breaks for discussion on your progress with your personal instructor.
